The INSPIRE extension allows GeoServer to be compliant with the View Service and Download Service specifications put forth by the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) directive.

INSPIRE pre-defined Atom Download Service – Client for QGIS

Features:

  • Supports INSPIRE Atom Feeds (INSPIRE pre-defined Atom) (TG Chapter 5)
  • Supports multiple CRS, language, format combinations (TG Chapter 5.2)
  • Supports Multi-Part-Downloads (TG Chapter 5.2.4)
  • English User-Interface
  • Based on the Technical Guidance for the implementation of INSPIRE Download Services 3.0

The GMLAS driver (Application schema driver for GDAL) allows to read and write GML app schema from GDAL.

This driver allows the consumption and use of GML complex features like INSPIRE harmonised data (vector), GeoSciML within QGIS.

Some INSPIRE use cases:

For a description of the Desktop version see https://inspire-reference.jrc.ec.europa.eu/tools/inspire-solution-pack-fme

The Server Version extends FME Server with the INSPIRE capabilities of the INSPIRE Solution Pack. The combination of this tools makes INSPIRE Workflows executable on FME Server and allows the user to schedule tasks, automatize the workflow and create powerful processes for automatic updates and validation of INSPIRE Data.

INSPIRE Solution Pack for FME: Workflows for INSPIRE

The INSPIRE directive on the development of a European spatial data infrastructure promotes the provision of harmonised spatial data using standardised services.
In many cases, compliance with the INSPIRE directive requires transformation and schema mapping of existing datasets or databases into INSPIRE data models.

Publish WFS services as Linked Data and as Web Sites using on-the-fly transformations

LDproxy is a tool that acts as a proxy layer on top of any (INSPIRE) WFS to expose GML in alternative formats to facilitate discovery and consumption in other communities.

CatMDEdit is a metadata editor tool that facilitates the documentation of resources, with a special focus on the description of geographic information resources. It provides an INSPIRE view od the editor to comply with the  INSPIRE implementing rules for metadata and with Water Framework Directive (WISE).

HALE is a tool for defining and evaluating conceptual schema mappings. The goal of HALE is to allow domain experts to ensure logically and semantically consistent mappings and consequently transformed geodata. Furthermore, a major focus is put on documentation of the schema transformation process and its impacts, e.g. in the form of lineage information attached to the resultant transformed data.

GET SDI Portal, is a web mapping application providing a comprehensive platform for viewing, downloading, analyzing, querying, editing and styling data originating from multiple geospatial sources. It constitutes a simple and ready to deploy solution for any organization who wants to setup a Geoportal based on ISO/OGC Standards.

Makes data available via Open Standards. GO Publisher enables you to publish and share your database content at an enterprise level using Open Standards.

Different from other tools, GO Publisher supports any XML language including Open Standards such as GML, KML, AIXM, WXXM, or FIXM.

It is a ‘schema aware’ software that can publish to any schema without requiring us to change the code. And, secondly, it can do this from any ‘existing’ database model.
